The traditional St Albans Pancake Race has been going for 20 years, but sadly this year the community will not be cheering on the teams as they flip their way down the street.
But COVID will not beat us!
We have organised an online flipping pancake challenge that everyone can get involved in.
We want to get a record breaking number of people on-line at the same time, flipping pancakes together!
Our target is to get 500 people involved in this ‘flip-off!
For the last four years Home-Start, in conjunction with Buzzing Media,has organized the event and last year it raised a fantastic £3000 to help support local families who are struggling to manage. Right now, families are needing support more than ever – you can make a real difference!
WE NEED YOU!
We are going to need everyone’s help! Get in touch with your family, friends, colleagues, long lost aunt…everyone and invite them to join in. You can have a family flip, a team flip or flip individually!
Please do dress up and if you are entering as a company wear your branded gear; who knows, we could go viral?!
The challenge will take place via Zoom on Tuesday 16th February. Flippers will be required to provide their own pans and pancakes, log on at 12 noon and the record breaking flipping will start at 12.15pm following a short briefing.
Times may need to be adjusted depending on numbers but we will keep everyone informed.
